I firmly believe that progression is a real joy – something worth pursuing for its own sake rather than the loot or the result. I believe that in progression runs, the best in players is brought out. The best of the best players really shine, and you get brilliant results. At the end, the victory is all the sweeter for the stress and strain and frustration of striving so hard to get the fight to work for you.
Tonight, <Harvest Moon> showed the real calibre of our raiders. We’ve raided for a little under 35 hours together since the guild was formed, and in that time we’ve developed a team that gets to a progression boss and just knuckles down and kicks ass. The performance that we made was astounding considering the total number of wipes we’ve clocked on Spine can be counted on my fingers.
That’s right – we killed spine, and we 2-healed it as well!
I honestly can’t say how proud I am to have achieved such a genuinely flawless kill with everyone – props to Toman for making an excellent co-healer and co-ordinator. Next stop: Madness!
